Forest Road Design Training with CGS PLATEIA

The Forest Road Design Training with CGS PLATEIA was held on 31 January-1 February 2014 at the GIS Laboratory of the Faculty of Forestry, Kastamonu University.

The training covered the use of CGS PLATEIA software in forest road design processes, including route design, road geometry, gradient and curve arrangements, the use of digital terrain models, and the preparation of project outputs. The event contributed to the development of computer-aided road design applications in forest engineering and improved the technical skills of the participants.

The training provided an important applied learning environment for designing forest roads in a more planned manner, in accordance with technical standards and compatible with terrain conditions.
