1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF FETEC 2016 - BURSA - TÜRKİYE

The 1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF FETEC 2016 was held on 02-04 June 2016 in Bursa, Türkiye, hosted by the Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Engineering, Bursa Technical University. The symposium focused on forest harvesting and roading practices in environmentally sensitive areas.

As the first international symposium organized within the scope of FETEC, the event represented an important starting point for strengthening international academic collaboration in the field of forest engineering. The symposium addressed the planning of harvesting activities, forest road design, selection of transportation systems, protection of soil and water resources, reduction of erosion risk, and sustainable operational approaches in environmentally sensitive forest areas. It contributed to scientific discussions on balancing technical requirements with environmental protection principles.
