We pray for the soul of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emin Akay

It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emin AKAY, a faculty member at the Faculty of Forestry, Bursa Technical University. We pray for God’s mercy upon our esteemed professor and extend our condolences to his family and all who loved him. May our community find comfort!

Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emin Akay was a distinguished scholar recognized internationally for his high-quality academic work in the field of forestry science—particularly in forest engineering, forest roads, mechanization in forestry, and planning. He ranked in the top 2% of scientists worldwide in his field and made significant scientific contributions to forestry in our country. Throughout his academic career, he taught numerous courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and served as an advisor for many master’s and doctoral theses; through his scientific articles, conference papers, and projects published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, he has contributed lasting works to the literature of his field. During his tenure at the Faculty of Forestry at Bursa Technical University, he earned a position of respect among both his students and colleagues through his scientific productivity, his emphasis on academic discipline, and his dedicated approach to mentoring students.
