EJFE 2026(1) Issue has been published

The 2026(1) issue of the European Journal of Forest Engineering (EJFE) has been published. This issue includes current research and review articles covering various fields such as forest engineering, occupational safety in forestry, machinery use, remote sensing, machine learning, flood risk assessment, forest roads, reforestation technologies, and wildfire management. The 2026(1) issue highlights the increasing importance of technological innovations, data-driven approaches, and sustainable engineering solutions in forestry practices. The articles published in this issue address a wide range of topics, including noise levels of electric chainsaws, machine learning datasets for winter roads, occupational safety climate in the forestry sector, AHP-based flood risk assessment, stem volume estimation using UAV imagery and machine learning, validity assessment of forest harvest simulations, drone-based seed ball deployment systems, land cover reconstruction using Landsat data, and machine learning approaches for wildfire prediction and management in Australia. With contributions from researchers from different countries, this issue reflects the multidisciplinary nature of forest engineering and contributes to scientific knowledge at an international level.
